Rain Lily Somjoon

About this plant

A vibrant sunrise captured in bloom, this striking flower presents six broad, perfectly formed petals that unfurl with an inviting grace. Each petal boasts a rich salmon hue, subtly deepening towards the edges, while a brilliant lemon yellow blush radiates generously from the throat, creating a captivating two-toned effect that glows in sunlight. Delicate veining in a slightly darker shade gives the petals a textured appearance, leading to a cluster of bright golden anthers at the very centre. This confident single-petalled variety is a reliable bloomer, offering cheerful bursts of colour after monsoon showers and performing exceptionally well in pots where its vivid hues can truly stand out against deep green foliage, making it a cheerful focal point for any verandah or garden corner.
